A common decision when choosing a college is whether to go to a state school or a community college. There are many factors to consider when making this decision such as location, major and cost of attending the University. A mindmap can be used to feature your options and make the decision process easier.
Mindmapping software can help you to answer many difficult questions and to look at all the important factors when choosing where to further your education. The information that is helpful to record on a mindmap is; location, major, achievements and cost.
Location
Using mind mapping to consider how important location is to you when deciding on a college can be helpful. The mindmap can be used to figure out how far away from home you would like to be and the branches can be used to consider the options. To represent the thoughts and ideas surrounding the location of the college you could put them on the map on the main branches. Finally figure out the costs that are going to be incurred while attending the college or university of your choice. Write down things like; housing costs, cost of books and overall tuition costs. Being able to see the numbers laid out on a mindmap will make the experience a reality and help you to make clearer decisions.
