Radiology technicians need to have the proper education from a radiology school, and they can get it from many different places, including trade schools, local colleges, online programs and even directly from hospitals so that they can gain real experience. A 2 year degree program is the norm. Following that, you will be required to take the national exam offered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technicians.

You will finally be a CRT once you possess your radiology degree and have passed the certification exam. You can then go forth and practice your work in any place knowing it is secure.

The salaries offered by various institutions may vary, but you will find your yearly income will far exceed what you may presently be receiving in the outside world. Becoming a radiology technician is not only a position with a good salary and job security, but one that can give you great satisfaction in helping others through what may be a difficult time.

There are many positions available for a radiology training school graduate. Specializing in fields like CAT or PET scans or even other areas is a possibility for you when you are a radiology technician.
